Gautam Choudhury

Gautam Choudhury is a retired computer scientist living in Netherlands. He started his research on Salil Chowdhury and began to collect, document and publish his work, and in 1998 he created a website on Salil Chowdhury. Gautam knew Salil Chowdhury for many years, he tried to recover many songs of Salil Chowdhury after his death, which were composed during the 40s but were never recorded and therefore were lost and forgotten. After meeting and interviewing numerous people in south Bengal, Gautam recovered over twenty songs which were composed by Sali Chowdhury and were nearly forgotten.
