Bombay Jayashri was born into a family of musicians, and groomed in Carnatic music by Lalgudi G. Jayaraman. She has performed widely in India and abroad, and has evolved a distinct style of her own. Having also trained in Hindustani classical music, she has a musical range that is both deep and wide.
