 The workshop for teachers offers: 

Theory:

* Definition, historical development, principles, objectives & scope of Dance Pedagogy

* Models of Dance-in-Education 

* Designing lesson plans & Structuring sessions

* Evaluating teaching & learning skills

Practical:

* Experiencing a wide range of ‘Creative Movement Activities’ from dance

* Customizing dance for different age groups    

* Reinforcing academic subjects through dance games

* Moving with movement props & music

This workshop is open to all teachers, special educators, dancers, and facilitators working with children.

The Workshop for children offers:

Techniques to unlock children’s capacity to express thoughts, emotions and ideas through their own body language.

Fun filled movement activities with music, movement props, warm up routines, movement energizers & icebreakers and relaxation.

These activities will help release stress, build concentration and self-awareness.

Dancing in solos, pairs and in clusters, children will enjoys different rhythm structures, enhance their social skills and explore their creativity and imagination.

Participants in both workshops do not require prior training in dance.

Comfortable clothes for movement recommended.
